he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

PRAYERS FOR THE NATION

OUR PASTOR
Lauri Ferring
Pastor Lauri Ferring was raised on a farm in Idaho & then moved to NW Montana as a teen & went to Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho, but didn't complete her education then.

She then moved to Yakima, where she lived for nine years before moving to Colorado Springs to attend the Nazarene Bible College. She received a BA in Ministry & was ordained as an elder in the Church.

She also worked as a Children's Pastor for twenty-five plus years until she felt God calling her to change to lead pastor. She was called as lead pastor at Elgin Harvesters in March 2016. She's looking forward to a long, wonderful ministry here in this lovely town! It feels like coming home to her! She also has an adult son who resides in Yakima.
OUR CHURCH
The desire for a church in Elgin came in the latter years of the depression. Several men from Union pooled their funds to purchase the property by paying the taxes owed on it. There was an old house on the property.

It was a home during the week & Sunday School & Church on Sundays, the exact year was uncertain, but it was around 1933. Rev. & Mrs. Wessling were here from the beginning working to get this church off & going & the church itself was organized in 1934 & they quickly started building a church.

During construction, Rev. Wessling had a bad fall & his injury led to him passing away.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
