Romans 8:32 (NIV) He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
SPIRITUAL RETREAT
INFORMATION
I plan to provide a series of spiritual retreats. If interested, please plan to sign up for one. These will be in small groups of 4 - 6 people. It will be a two-night stay with a full day of retreat, half of the day will be spent alone with God, & materials will be provided to guide you so you.

Jesus frequently took time away from others to retreat alone with God. This is a healthy practice for Christians to develop. Once experienced, it can be something to look forward to & a healing space in times of intense stress.

The dates will be listed below & will need to book the venue soon, so please send me every date you're available. I will then coordinate to create teams for these dates. If you're married, you can choose to attend together or separately. There is some benefit from having a little space from your spouse so your evenings are alone to continue to process your experience. This is not mandatory, it's up to you. Please indicate if you're attending alone or with a spouse. There are already 7 people signed up so I can book two of the dates but I am waiting until everyone who wishes are included.

PRAYERS FOR THE NATION

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

OUR STAFF & CHURCH
OUR CHURCH

The desire for a church in Elgin came in the latter years of the depression. Several men from Union pooled their funds to purchase the property by paying the taxes owed on it.
There was an old house on the property. It was a home during the week & Sunday School & Church on Sundays, the exact year was uncertain, but it was around 1933.
Rev. & Mrs. Wessling were here from the beginning working to get this church off & going & the church itself was organized in 1934 & they quickly started building a church. During construction, Rev. Wessling had a bad fall & his injury led to him passing away.
OUR PASTOR

Lauri Ferring
Pastor Lauri Ferring was raised on a farm in Idaho & then moved to NW Montana as a teen & went to Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho, but didn't complete her education then.
She then moved to Yakima, where she lived for nine years before moving to Colorado Springs to attend the Nazarene Bible College. She received a BA in Ministry & was ordained as an elder in the Church.
She also worked as a Children's Pastor for twenty-five plus years until she felt God calling her to change to lead pastor. She was called as lead pastor at Elgin Harvesters in March 2016.
She's looking forward to a long, wonderful ministry here in this lovely town! It feels like coming home to her! She also has an adult son who resides in Yakima.
